More Donuts

Hey everyone,

In lieu of me developing a brand, I am letting go of more designs. No long post to support this because I am only taking a break from writing and drawing, so here they are.

(They go with the headers from last week.)

More Back to School Stickers

Hey Everyone,

In lieu of the back to school requests I continuously see in the planner groups I belong to, I decided to whip up a few more today as I get in the groove of drawing with a back to school theme in mind later.

I have a list of 41 sticker ideas I collected from scanning through the comments in Facebook land.

I am in the process of designing them ALL to share on this blog.

Things ranging from countdowns to early releases - I've got you covered. If there are any that you may want go ahead and let me know and I'd be happy to help.

Though I may not be new to planning, I am new to blogging / sharing what I have going on, so don't be shy.

Here are more to hold you over until I release the mother load tomorrow. (Below)

This are all 1.5 inches wide. I will be using these as reminders throughout the year.

My kids will be starting a new school this year (my sister is a teacher there; YAY!) and parent volunteering is a requirement. That is something completely new for me. I have NEVER been to a school function that wasn't a requirement for me to show up. (Outside of award shows and parent nights).

Again this is something that will push me from my comfort zone; it both terrifies and excites me in the same breath.

I need to set things like that into place so that I am able to get back to the world in order to find inspiration. When I first started my writing quest, I spit out about 60k words in my first month.

I had so much to say at first and I knew that it would be good because I read so much the last couple years. Well, my fire died down and I found myself looking for other hobbies, (STILL holding dearly to my Happy Planner). Before I knew it, I put myself in a little bubble again.

This bubble I had around me had to go; it hindered me from achieving ANY of the goals I had set up. So now, its like I am seeing the world again and I have all this inspiration coming out of me. My poor journal will be used up before summer is over.

So enjoy these, hope you guys really love them.

P.S. How have you guys been using the stickers I previously shared? I'd love to see them in action!

Donut Themed Headers

Hey everyone!

I have been super busy trying to get my feet into this Planner Community. For over a year and half, I've been hiding my stationary obsession from even my sisters - and we are SUPER DUPER close.

I'm an extreme introvert who suffers from Anxiety. In the face of that, I think I do well in public. I will say that I really suck at paying attention when someone is talking. My mind either is thinking of something I want or need to do; or I am thinking (and sucking at waiting) of a burning question I want to ask mid-sentence.

That whole ordeal is the story of my life.

Every time I learn something new in the planning community, something else catches my attention before I fully grasp what I am learning. Same for writing. I have a few novels saved in my laptop not quite complete; short stories too.

I am constantly reading at least 3 books at one time. Well, let me clarify that, I am always in the middle of a self-help, inspirational, or writing novel on any given day. All while reading a fiction one (and finishing them quickly).

But back to planning. I had a few beautiful designs saved in Silhouette Studio to print and sell in my Etsy shop but they were lacking my personal touch. It had me dragging my feet when it came to actually releasing something.

I kept reflecting and wondering what made me different from the hundreds of other planner chicks out there. Well now I know; I can draw and very much enjoy it.

When I incorporate everything I have any interest in, I come up with some cute girly ORIGINAL stickers. So now I know the direction I want to take this blog and as well as my Etsy shop: and they are two distinctly different ideas and designs. (I will say I am toying around with releasing the hand drawn items in Etsy and designing FREE companions on this site.)

I think that will help me relax a little and give me a little purpose to actually grow in all of this. I've said before, the hardest part for me is putting myself out there.

Despite the fact that I talk so much about me, I am really private about what is important to me; including my kids. For a long time I couldn't shake the fear of being incorrectly judged by people. (I have a whole blog post planned on the why's of this, don't worry). But I'm saying screw that and I am just going to start putting out what I like and what interests me and hopefully there will be others who will agree.

SO... in honor of all that jazz, I will be releasing the designs I intended to sell here throughout the week. I am trying to get a schedule going that I will actually follow, so bare with me because I have some GREAT, ORIGINAL items coming! So here is a treat while you wait!
Hope you having a great day!

Until next time,

Etsy Printable Shop

Hey everyone,

I am so excited about something I learned to do this week!! I had an idea on how to put shapes and colors together in order to make my stickers without being afraid of being accused of stealing designs.

I am way too cheap to buy stickers on Etsy right now. I have a goal to reach before I can start spending crazy on Etsy stickers.

So in the mean time, in my weekly layouts I stick with the stickers I've bought from Brick and Mortar stores or the ones I make.

I've been watching the kawaii sticker hauls online and I always want to buy ALL of them. Well, that wouldn't be a smart choice for our household right now (lol) so sadly I can't.

To make up for that, I made a coffee and donut themed printable kit that I decided to list on Etsy.

(the watermarks will be removed once purchased)

I have lots more planned to make; both free on this blog and in my Etsy shop.

Back to School Free Happy Planner Printable

Hey Everyone,

Okay, maybe I have a problem... Why am I up past 1 a.m (EST) releasing another design I created? I am not sure but I have so many I've created.

The more I research, the more I figure out what would be important for me to create, the more I feel inspired. I asked a Happy Planner group what type of stickers they are looking for and cannot find. The majority resulted in full boxes (my favorite type of sticker if you can't tell) and back to school themed.

So I fooled around in Silhouette Studio and came up with these. Thanks to prettygrafikdesign on Etsy for some images.

When I think of back to school, I think of reminders. I tend to put off the adulting part of the process. To be truthful the only two parts I like are meeting the teacher and organizing the school supplies. The lists get longer each year and I moan and groan the whole way every time.

Anyway... I wanted the back to school reminders to be cute but functional in my planner. Going with the larger deco of the kids will catch my eye each time I looked at my planner. Print as many as you like and hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Floral Layout

Hey everyone! (Again)

I have another layout to share. I worked on this one a couple weeks ago, before I was ready to share it. But sharing is caring, so here it is.

I'd like to have date covers added to my Etsy Printable shop and I may release those designs tomorrow. We shall see...

But in the mean time, I'm curious as to what types of books would you guys like to see reviewed?

I read all kinds of genres; the main two are Romance Fiction (all types EXCEPT Historical) and
Self-Help / Self-Improvement.

If there is anyone that is new to writing and would like an honest review of their book, please let me know at dom.n.ink21@gmail.com .

Well, until tomorrow.

First Layout - Peach Flowers

Hey everyone,

I have been researching a lot of things when it comes to the planner community. I haven't ever made an Etsy purchase before I finally decided to start designing and come out of the shadows as a "Planner Freak".

I have always bought planners when I felt my life was getting hectic. I had never used stickers or washi before the beginning of 2015. I primarily used different colored pens and highlighters to color code things I did. Occasionally, I used post-its of different sizes but that was the extinct of decorating my planners and they always fizzled out.

Since about 2009, when I gave up cable for the first time, I became addicted to YouTube and always found something new to try or get into. Well, in the beginning of 2015, I saw a few Plan With Me videos and I instantly became hooked.

My first decorated planner was a large pink Planahead and after a few weeks I got a Happy Planner. Once I started decorating with all the clearance items I'd accumulated from my couponing shopping sprees (another addiction story for a different day). I quickly ran out of new videos to watch so I came across scrap booking videos and the rest was history...

Which leads me to my present craft craze: My Silhouette Portrait. I now have this burning desire to share what I create. After A LOT of soul searching - and depression - I discovered hidden talents I never knew I had.

I now spend my time creating things. The biggest two loves being writing and creating art in different medias.

When I'm not reading or writing, I'm crafting something. Most of the time it involves painting in a melanin art style or something to do with my Happy Planner.

So without further blabbering, here is a layout named Peach Flowers. I have a few more decorative printables to give in my next blog. So until next time, here is the sheet.
